A low-yielding and delicate vine that prefers areas with considerable temperature difference between night and day. Gewürztraminer tends to develop a fairly high alcohol content, while its acidity levels are normally quite low.
The harvest period is carefully chosen to facilitate the development of aromatic substances during the cold maceration, which is carried out after the destemming step. Controlled fermentation at temperatures not exceeding 18° C and subsequent contact with high-quality lees for 2-3 weeks. Short refinement in steel tanks and subsequent aging in bottle for a few months.
Excellent for aperitifs, it also goes well with shellfish, cooked cheeses, savory dishes, white meat and end-of-meal cheese. Ideal with Asian cuisine.
Straw yellow to golden.
Very aromatic and spicy, with hints of rose and yellow peach.
Warm, soft and balanced with persistent aftertaste and great body.
